Core Strengthening for Student Athletes

This camp is designed for the student athlete (7th - 12th grade) who is interested in core strengthening, stretching and general injury prevention.
Athletes will learn to stretch and strengthen with a combination of Pilates, Spine Stabilization and Thera-ball techniques that are fun and different each class.
Injury prevention and healthy training will also be discussed with the goal of pain free improved performance.
Campers should comfortably dress to exercise (T-shirt, shorts, sneakers).
Campers should bring a water bottle and a yoga mat.
This camp takes place on Mondays and Wednesdays (prior to Coach Kosier's Running Camp)

Christine Miceli has been a licensed Physical Therapist with a specialty in sports and orthopedics for 23 years and works at Albany Physical Therapy.
She also is certified in Pilates Mat I.
She has taught core strengthening classes to the swimmers from the YMCA Cyclones for the past several years.
