Core Strengthening for Student Athletes

This camp is designed for the student athlete (7th - 12th grade) who is interested in core strengthening, stretching and general injury prevention.

General Information
  • Athletes will learn to stretch and strengthen with a combination of Pilates, Spine Stabilization and Thera-ball techniques that are fun and different each class.
  • Injury prevention and healthy training will also be discussed with the goal of pain free improved performance.
  • Campers should comfortably dress to exercise (T-shirt, shorts, sneakers).
  • Campers should bring a water bottle and a yoga mat.
  • This camp takes place on Mondays and Wednesdays (prior to Coach Kosier's Running Camp)
  • Bus Transportation: NOT AVAILABLE

Instructor’s Experience
  • Christine Miceli has been a licensed Physical Therapist with a specialty in sports and orthopedics for 23 years and works at Albany Physical Therapy.
  • She also is certified in Pilates Mat I.
  • She has taught core strengthening classes to the swimmers from the YMCA Cyclones for the past several years.
