Core Strengthening for Student Athletes
This camp is designed for the student athlete (7th - 12th grade) who is interested in core strengthening, stretching and general injury prevention.
General Information
- Athletes will learn to stretch and strengthen with a combination of Pilates, Spine Stabilization and Thera-ball techniques that are fun and different each class.
- Injury prevention and healthy training will also be discussed with the goal of pain free improved performance.
- Campers should comfortably dress to exercise (T-shirt, shorts, sneakers).
- Campers should bring a water bottle and a yoga mat.
- No Transportation Available
- This camp takes place on Mondays and Wednesdays (prior to Coach Kosier's Running Camp)
Instructor’s Experience
- Christine Miceli has been a licensed Physical Therapist with a specialty in sports and orthopedics for 21 years. She also is certified in Pilates Mat I.
- She has taught core strengthening classes to the swimmers from the YMCA Cyclones for the past several years.
