Butterfly Bonanza is a fun and educational program designed for children entering 2nd and 3rd grade.
Children will work with counselors to care for caterpillars and butterflies in the nursery, learn to identify native species of butterflies and learn about the life cycle of butterflies.
Campers will go butterfly catching, read factual and imaginative stories about butterflies and make butterfly-related arts & crafts.
Campers should wear clothing suitable for participating in outdoor activities.
It is recommended that students wear sneakers and bring a drink, as well as a light snack each day.
Students need to bring $10 the first day of camp to cover the cost of supplies.
Instructor: Patrice Spring is a 6th grade Math and Science Teacher at FMS with almost 20 years’ experience. She has been teaching Butterfly camps for 12 years.
Bus Transportation: AVAILABLE
Please note: Patrice Spring will replace Audrey Pafunda as instructor for this camp. Session 1 of Butterfly Bonanza is cancelled.
