Butterfly Bonanza
Butterfly Bonanza is a fun and educational program designed for children entering 2nd and 3rd grade.
General Information
- Children will work with counselors to care for caterpillars and butterflies in the nursery, learn to identify native species of butterflies and learn about the life cycle of butterflies.
- Campers will go butterfly catching, read factual and imaginative stories about butterflies and make butterfly-related arts & crafts.
- Campers should wear clothing suitable for participating in outdoor activities.
- It is recommended that students wear sneakers and bring a drink, as well as a light snack each day.
- Students need to bring $10 the first day of camp to cover the cost of supplies.
- Instructor: Patrice Spring is a 6th grade Math and Science Teacher at FMS with almost 20 years’ experience. She has been teaching Butterfly camps for 12 years.
- Bus Transportation: AVAILABLE
