Come develop your football skills and test your mettle at our football camp and combine! Camp features an additional three days where players will receive instruction in a non-contact environment to safely learn the fundamentals of the game; participate in competitions, 1 on 1 events and football related challenges; and get a head start learning the scheme and techniques of his school’s team!
The second week includes fundamental skill development at each offensive and defensive position: stance, footwork, blocking, tackling, receiving, route-running, pass covering, ball carrying and passing. Coaches will prioritize the instruction of safe, proper tackling technique and limit the full contact sessions to ensure the safety of our campers. This includes following all health and safety protocols from Albany DOH, Section 2 and GCSD. Campers will compete with team mates and with players from other high schools from around Section 2. The camp will conclude with controlled scrimmages (FR/JV will scrimmage separately from Varsity).
General Information
What to bring:
- Equipment - helmet, shoulder pads, jersey and leg pads (assigned through high school)
- Mouthpiece, Cleats AND sneakers (campers should bring)
- Helmet and mouthpiece May 28 - May 31st; helmet, mouthpiece and shoulderpads June 3rd - 4th
- Wear full equipment on Wednesday - Friday, June 5th-7th
- Sports drink or water
Incoming Freshmen:
Special Session for Freshman on May 31st from 4:00 - 6:00pm (Transportation available to camp)

May 28-May 30: 5:30-7:00pm (No Transportation Available)
May 31: 3:00-4:30pm (No Transportation Available)
June 3 - June 7: 3:30-6:00 (Transportation from FMS to GHS Available)
Taping and pre-practice will begin at 5:15pm and 2:45pm.

Cost
- Cost: $139 for one session or $199 for both sessions which includes coaching, field and equipment preparation and usage, certified athletic trainer on the premises every day and camp tee shirt!

Instructor's Experience:
- Guilderland Varsity football head coach Dan Penna is in his 20th year leading the GHS program and has been a Guilderland teacher for 27 years.
- Campers will receive specialized instruction from each member of the GHS coaching staff.
