  • CrossFit is formally defined as a strength and conditioning program utilizing constantly varied, high intensity and functional movements.
  • It combines many traditional movements such as squats, pushups and sit-ups, with more dynamic and functional activities such as gymnastics, weightlifting and strongman lifts.
  • This hybrid approach is extremely effective and keeps people coming back for more and more each session.
  • Camp takes place on Monday, Wednesday & Thursday of each week.
  • Bus Transportation: NOT AVAILABLE

  • A typical boot camp session will include the following:
  • Warm-up: A Short 5-10 minutes aerobic and cardiovascular workout to prime the metabolic energy systems.
  • Joint Mobility: 5-10 minutes of dynamic stretching and joint mobilization to improve your functional range of motion and prepare your muscles/joints for the strength and conditioning portions of the workout.
  • Skill/Strength: About 10-20 minutes of each session will be devoted to learning a new movement or reinforcing the fundamentals of known movements. For some movements we will employ heavier, weighted sets to stimulate muscle development and build strength.
  • Metabolic Condition: The conditioning portion (also known at “The WOD”) can be anywhere from 2 to 20 minutes. A typical workout will include 2-3 different movements with varying weight/rep schemes. The movements can all be scaled to each individual’s unique capability. These workouts will likely be executed at a higher intensity than you are typically accustomed to and as a result, the coaching staff will be keenly aware of each person’s safety and well-being.
  • Additional Notes: We will try to use the many resources available to us within the park to vary the workouts and enjoy the surroundings. Classes are slated for 45 minutes but may run longer depending on that day’s programming.
